Not the beginning, not the end, but somewhere in-between.

I stopped the walk at my campsite, because at the next stage you need to work your way through three boulder fields covered in snow with crevices below.

When undertaking any expedition and any time during it, you must evaluate the risks and know when or if to turn back. This is the mountaineers code.

The mountains in Scotland are truly spectacular especially in winter, but you must respect them. The weather, temperature, wind, and visibility have to be evaluated constantly. Make sure you always have at least one experienced walker with you and do what he says. It truly can be a life or death adventure.

I'll be back!

Campsite c/w tree

Found our campsite at 17:00 11hrs from leaving Ellon. Lost since 2018.

My favouritist site in the whole world.

I knew I could put this up.

Managed to break a pole, but had a repair sleeve from my other tent in my rucksack.

Now for a brew.
